1st Meeting: Advances in
Polymers, Composites
and Biomaterials
Research on Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials is evolving with a breathtaking rapidity. The scope of the conference is to put together a small, selected group of leading scientists to exchange ideas and perspectives on the current status of the research, aiming at tracing some directions. Rather than focusing on a particular branch of polymers and biomaterials science, the overall aim of the conference is therefore to provide a forum for a broad discussion on recent achievements in some topics at the cutting-edge of research.
The
Conference will take place in an informal setting surrounded by the
beauty of Trento winter area, enhanced by the typical Christmas Market
in Piazza Fiera where to discover a magic world of scents, flavours,
colours and lights and to feel the ancient emotions of waiting for
Christmas.
The chosen venue is the Sala delle Marangonerie,
located in the Buonconsiglio Castle, a medieval castle in the
center
of the town. The Castle originated from a fortified building erected in
the 13th century next to the city's walls. It acted first as meeting
point of the local community and then became the seat of the
Prince-Bishops of Trento until the secularisation of the Principality
(1802). Presently Buonconsiglio Castle hosts the Provincial Gallery of Arts.
Registration:
The number of participants is limited to 120, a nominal fee of 200 Euros is requested. Registration fee includes participation to the Conference, Welcome Party, Coffee Breaks and Symposium Dinner.
Participation fee for accompanying person is 50 Euros and includes Welcome Party and Symposium Dinner.
The Welcome Party (16th of December) and the Symposium Dinner (18th of December) will take place at the Grand Hotel Trento.
The registration deadline is extended until November 15th, 2007. All the Oral Communications are by invitation. Participants wishing to present a Poster are requested to submit an abstract (max one A4 page) before the registration deadline to the following e-mail: ticme@ing.unitn.it. Poster acceptance will be notified by the 15th of November 2007

Table boards are 90x90cm size, consequently A1 (84.1x59.4cm) poster size is suggested. Anyway posters up to A0 (118.9x84.1cm) size can be posted up.
- For Hotel Room Reservation
A number of rooms have been reserved in the hotels below for the Conference delegates. The fares are especially low thanks to an agreement between the University of Trento and the single hotels. Each hotel has its own reservation DEADLINE 1 MONTH BEFORE THE CONFERENCE (NOV 16th). Delegates must make their own reservations by sending via email or fax the attached form to the chosen hotel. Changes in the arrival and departure dates, cancellations or information concerning the time of arrival must be sent to the hotel directly.
We would like to underline that many of the hotels below do not have a large number of rooms reserved for the Conference, so please make your reservation as soon as possible and preferably well before the deadline.
